Parking lots require constant updating and you usually don't realize you need an update until something unfortunate happens. Knowing this, Parking Lot Supply has worked to bring you a comprehensive look at: how to keep a parking lot safe, the right application for parking lot supplies, and the best supplies to meet your specific needs. |
In order to determine the best way to equip your parking lot, it is first important to think ahead so you know everything there is to know about your lot. After all, endless information on parking lot supplies is only good if you know where and how to apply it. Ask yourself a series of questions about your parking lot and make sure you don't leave any of them unanswered. You should ask yourself things like: How many parking spaces are there? How many entrances and exits? Is there a need for traffic signs or traffic panels? Is there a need for lighting? Will there be fast moving cars in the parking lot? Are there any height limitations? Is there a safe place for pedestrians to walk? Is there a bus stop?

| Parking Stops |
Parking stops are the bright colored blocks that sit in the front of parking spaces. They are a great way to add beauty and safety to your parking lot or facility. The recycled plastic parking stops are a maintenance-free, long-lasting alternative to concrete parking stops. They are effective, easy to see, they contribute to a cleaner environment, and they redirect plastic waste from ending up in landfills. They won't be harmed by snow plows, sand, salt, or inexperienced drivers. It is important to know how many parking spots you have in your parking lot so you don't order the wrong number of parking stops. Parking stops are extremely lightweight for economical shipment and simple, one-person installation without use of heavy machinery. Also, their long lasting, UV treated, bright colors eliminate the need for painting and allow you to distinguish parking spots based on the color in the parking stop.

Traffic Signs and Panels
Traffic signs and panels are a great way to control the traffic in your parking lot. Most parking lots have several rows of parking spots and usually a stop sign is needed to ensure safety. If you manage a parking lot with a large amount of cars or trucks, you may want to put your traffic sign on a Flexible Signposts. Height Guards
There are some parking lots, such as enclosed parking structures or parking garages, that have height limitations. In these cases, height guards are needed at the entrance to let drivers know whether or not their car or truck will fit inside your lot. Height guards provide maintenance-free overhead clearance protection that is easy to see. They are usually made from high-quality polyethylene that is ultraviolet-stable, fade-resistant, and designed for all extreme weather conditions. Most facility and parking lot managers are confident that height guards reduce expensive property damage by alerting drivers to low-hanging structures. A graphics kit is included for supplying important instructions and information (such as exact height clearance) on the height guard itself. |

Scrape Guards
A scrape guard is a highly visible vinyl cover for posts, barriers, walls, and beams. It extends property life and helps protect vehicles from scrapes, scratches, bumps, and dents. Non-marring, scrape guard is used for small posts or large cement lighting bases, yet it's flexible enough to fit around rectangular bases, odd-shaped barriers, and I-beams. The scrape guard is a flexible vinyl wrap which has raised hollow ribbing; the scrape guard may be easily secured by feeding cable ties or strapping through the ribbing. We sell the cable ties in lengths of 48" or 60" and you will generally need 4 ties per post or other application. For larger circumferences and bigger projects, we also sell a strapping kit which is 1/2" pallet banding that comes on a 3000 foot roll; the strapping can be cut to fit and is secured with plastic buckles included with the roll. |
